I know I know, just what the world (wide web) needs:
another mommy blog.
But guess what? This isn’t a mommy blog. It’s a motherhood blog.
Don’t get me wrong, I love mommy blogs. And I admire and respect the women behind them. But you know what? I’ll never be one of them. It’s not who I am. I’m not a supermom who likes to write. I’m just a writer … who also happens to be a fairly good, but also fairly flawed, mom.
- Creative or health-conscious recipes (I hate cooking)
- Tutorials for perfect, Pin-worthy crafts (I suck at these)
- Printable planners, checklists, etc. (I steal these from others)
- DIY-your-own-anything (I don’t have time for that shizz)
So what will you find on The Mama Logs? Humility. Honesty. Humor.
Motherhood is messy, beautiful, awesome, and terrifying. It also happens to be one of the greatest muses a writer could ever ask for. As other moms read this blog, I hope they laugh. I hope they cry. But perhaps most of all, I sincerely hope they feel this: a little less alone.
